Sunny was trying to watch it at Hulu today with no luck. C.I. called at one point while I was in a session and Sunny mentioned it and C.I. told her, "Go to NBC and stream it there."
Which she did and had no problem. I forgot about it until I was home and wa sready for the last ten or so minutes of the show -- when we learn who is cast -- and Hulu would stop. I tried reloading, it played find until it got to that point and stopped again.
The show stars Anjelica Huston, Debra Messing, Jack Davenport and many others.
Katherine McPhee? Did I spell her name wrong?
If so I'm not trying to be rude. I think she's holding her own opposite Oscar winner Anjelica and Emmy winner Debra.
I was so ticked off -- SPOILER -- when she didn't get the role of Marilyn in the musical.
Debra Messing and her partner are writing a musical based on Marilyn Monroe. Jack Davenport's the director. Anjelica's the producer. Katherine McPhee and this other woman compete for the role. The other woman is all wrong.
The actress is too thick and not at all vulnerable. She actually comes off -- when playing Marilyn -- like a heavy set drag queen.
She looks more like Marilyn but I'm sure make up could make McPhee look like her and it's Broadway not a close up on the big screen.
I really enjoy the show. I was surprised McPhee was going to be passed over though. I'm sure that's just to add tension to the show. (Shortly Uma Thurman will be on competing for the part.)
